A Rajnath Singh-led all-party delegation that was formed to help find a solution to the growing violence in the Valley, met in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Member of the delegation, Sitaram Yechury, however, informed that no consensus was reached on the issue during the meet, and that the plan going forward for Kashmir will be figured out in the coming days.
The delegation also made a fresh pledge for denouncing violence in the valley.
Speaking about the separatists, the government has said that they need to be isolated and dealt with separately.
However, the Hurriyat, while reacting to the statement, said that revenge tactics by the government will not help to solve the growing unrest in Kashmir.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister later in the day and is expected to submit the report of the delegation for further deliberation on the issue.
Rajnath is also expected to speak to the PM over the snub of the separatists to the delegation. Rajnath Singh, before returning back from Kashmir, had expressed displeasure at the frosty reception by the separatist leaders.
Rajnath also asserted that Jammu & Kashmir will always remain an integral part of India. He, however, said as far as talks are concerned, the doors remain open to everyone who wants peace and normalcy.
