Many of you might be facing lags, unexpected app crashes and slow performance on your smartphone.
People who own even a high end smartphone with top of the line specifications face such problems with android phones.
But don’t worry! The Quint gives you three simple steps to boost the performance of your smartphone by that tiny bit that makes all the difference.
Watch: 3 Easy Steps to Boost Performance on Your Android Smartphone
Step 1: Clean Internal Memory
Not cleaning internal memory for a long time can lead to lag in performance of your smartphone. It’s pretty easy though and you can do that once a week for an uninterrupted experience.
How to do it?
Go to settings —Apps—Select Sort by Size—Go to Each App and Clear Cache
Step 2: Disable Apps You Don’t Use
Apps that you don’t use often have no use to eat up memory on your smartphone.
Disable them and save on battery as well as boost performance. You can always enable the app whenever you want to use it.
You can also select unwanted apps and uninstall them.
How to do it?
Go to Settings—Apps—Select Apps that you don’t use—Tap Disable (To remove the App select uninstall)
Step 3: Don’t Use Animated Wallpapers
The animation in your wallpaper just uses that extra bit of memory in your smartphone to render the graphics.
You can use that power best if you are playing a heavy graphic game or if you have a lot of apps open simultaneously.
The animated wallpaper is a performance wasting idea. Get rid of the animated wallpaper, use a static one.
Remove any unwanted app shortcuts on your home screen and also keep widgets to a minimum on your home screen.
How to do it?
Long Tap on Home Screen—Select Choose Wallpaper(Instead of Live Wallpaper)—Select the one you Like and Tap Apply
Add on Hacks
1. If your smartphone has an external SD card, move all your pictures, videos and heavy apps to the SD card.
2. Download Apps like Clean Master, CCleaner, Cooler Master, Battery Doctor etc; to manage your CPU and RAM performance.
