Deepika Padukone made her debut in Bollywood with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, 10 years ago. Over the years she has shed her demure exterior to reveal her spirited, plucky self. While her upcoming film Padmavati, is battling mounting protests, she has been at the receiving end of vitriolic reactions and threats. But none of that has deterred her. Not only is she the lead actor in the film, she has also assumed the status of the face of the resistance against the Padmavati protests.

But this is not the first time that she has displayed her nerve. From calling out Ranbir Kapoor on a television chat show to taking a national daily, head on for its ‘regressive tactics’, she has been standing her ground. She even daringly revealed her vulnerability publicly by opening up about being depressed.

She even said that she may have lost some roles after she spoke about her battle with depression but that doesn't affect her. DPad is not shy of being overwhelmed in public. She boldly shed tears on stage when she won the Filmfare award for Best Actor Female, for her performance in the film Piku and read out the letter, that her dad wrote to her and her sister when they were younger.

Stay feisty and bare your heart DPad!
