Maaya, a web series by Vikram Bhatt is set to release on the 27 January. From what we see in the trailer, it seems to be highly inspired by the erotic romance novel, Fifty Shades Of Grey. Bhatt has ‘roped’ in Shama Sikander for the role of the female protagonist, while the male leads are newcomers Vipul Gupta and Veer Aryan.
Thankfully, Bhatt doesn’t have to submit his creation to the CBFC, else we’d have seen Nihalani and gang throw a fit.
The twist in the web series is apparently that the female lead suffers from retrograde amnesia, which could well be what the viewers will wish for after watching this seemingly torturous BDSM tale.
