From the reports available, it’s clear that the expletives are going, as the Bombay High Court had on Friday said that the makers should tone down the foul language and vulgar scenes as these alone cannot make a film work.

In an interaction with the press, the CBFC head slammed reports that the board had asked to drop ‘Punjab’ from the movie’s title.

Film Most Likely To Be Released On Time; Extra Prints to Be Raised
The film will most likely be released on time on 17 June.
A report from DNA quotes a source from Phantom saying that all preparations are on to release the film on time. The number of prints to be put out is likely to be raised, the source added, as public curiosity has piqued following the censorship controversy.
We are going ahead with the release plans hoping and praying that the honourable High Court will rule in our favour on Monday.
Phantom is Anurag Kashyap’s production house that is the co-producer of ‘Udta Punjab’.
CBFC had reportedly demanded 89 cuts in the movie and the removal of the word ‘Punjab’ from the title.
Bombay HC Verdict To Be Announced on 13 June
The Bombay High Court will pronounce its verdict regarding the issue on Monday, 13 June. Filmmakers Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap had moved the Bombay HC against the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) over the film. A division bench had concluded hearing arguments on the petition on Friday.
