Actor-producer Uday Chopra couldn’t bear all the gossip and rumours doing the rounds about his alleged ‘break up’ with actress Nargis Fakhri. So not only did he give a statement, but he also broke one of his cardinal rules for the leading lady. Here’s what he told Pinkvilla about his relationship with Nargis Fakhri-
I normally don’t respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However these are all untrue.Uday Chopra, Actor
Uday even tweeted about it-
Well, as usual, this was much ado about nothing. While Uday claims that he and Nargis are still good friends, social media and fans have been going nuts over drawing conclusions. Everything from Nargis’s trip to New York and her ill health was connected to ‘being dumped’ by Mr Chopra.
Uday, we’d like to trust you more than the gossip mills. Good call to rest this once and for all.
As for Nargis, her latest Instagram post hints that she still thinks of her and Uday as two of the same kind.
