Tamil star Vijay, popularly known as Ilayathalapathy (young general) turns 41 today, June 22. His fans have already got a birthday treat as the first teaser of Vijay’s next film Puli was released online on Sunday.
Puli, an action adventure fantasy film is the biggest film in Vijay’s career yet, with some sources claiming that the film cost over Rs 100 crore. Also starring Sridevi, Sudeep and Shruti Haasan, the film has been shot over a period of 115 days and over Rs 5 crore has been spent on Vijay’s introductory song alone.
Meanwhile, it’s clear that the Tamil star has a deeply divided set of lovers and haters online. In the morning Twitter was trending with the #HBDDearVijay hashtag, with fans posting pictures and memes of the star.
Fan associations also conducted a blood donation camp as a social service gesture for the star’s birthday.
