After being evicted on 29 October, Bigg Boss contestant Siddharth Dey opened up to the media about his time in the house. While speaking to the media, the writer showed the burn marks he allegedly suffered during a task where the other contestants poured chilli powder and bleach.

In an interview with Zoom TV, he claimed,

“They actually put at least a kilo of bleach on my neck and eyes. They also put at least half a kilo of red chilli powder. I still have burn marks on my skin and I’m not even able to sleep properly. They are celebrities and if they are showing such violent side, they are sending out the wrong message to the youth. During the first task only, they fed me mud and chillies. But when it was my turn, I couldn’t do that because I’m not that kind of a person.”

He added, “Do things that are entertaining. How will people find throwing chilli powder at each other entertaining? Even when we watch movies, we don’t usually like watching torture scenes, right?”

He also opened up about his spat with fellow housemate Shehnaz Gill and denied allegations that he had abused the women in the house. “Throughout my stay, I didn’t abuse any woman. However, I lost my cool in the last two tasks, as I was cornered by them (Shehnaz Gill and Arti Singh). I sustained a serious injury during a task, and it has now turned into an infection. Arti is like a sister and I had no issues with her, but she joined a group that influenced her wrongly. I overheard their plan to torture me during a task and since I was expecting them to cross every limit, I said what I did. It cannot be justified, but I had no option left to dissuade them. I apologised profusely to her, even touched her feet and didn’t eat at night. Life mein bahut log gender use karte hain (Some people often use gender as an excuse). I regret saying some things I said inside the house.”

Now that he is out of the Bigg Boss house, the reality TV writer says he is rooting for Shefali and Paras.
