When Pehredaar Piya Ki was taken off air in August after a hue and cry around its regressive content, its makers had announced that they’ll be back with the same cast but a different story later this year. The popular TV Channel that was previously airing the regressive show, has unveiled a teaser revealing Tejaswi Prakash as Diya (the same character she was playing in Pehredaar Piya Ki) walking through what seems to be the same Rajputana palace that the story of Pehredaar Piya Ki was set in.
While it is too soon to speculate on the premise of the yet-untitled show, we’re hoping that producers Shashi and Sumeet Mittal will present a more mature and sensible line of storytelling this time around. The upcoming show is set to go on air in November. More details are awaited.

Pehredaar Piya Ki landed in trouble with a section of the audience that felt that the show’s basic premise, the marriage of a 9-year old prince to an 18 year-old princess, is a rather regressive one.
