The dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9, is all set to premiere on Star Plus, on 19 July. And some of the channel’s most popular television pairs, including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’s Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’s Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover, Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampann’s Zain Imam will kickstart the proceedings.
Not only will each of the jodis introduce designated pair of contestants, but also perform on stage on premiere night. To add to that, producer of the show, Salman Khan, is also expected to make an appearance.
The channel teased the audiences with a series of videos on the weekend.
The videos offered a glimpse at what to expect from the performances on Saturday, and also teased Salman’s cameo on the show. While Shivangi-Mohsin, and Karan-Dipika’s performances look dreamy and romantic, Zain seems to be dancing to an upbeat track.
The contestants’ faces though have been kept hidden behind masks for now, and the big reveal will be reserved for the premiere.
The list of this year’s contestants includes, Urvashi Dholakia and her ex-boyfriend Anuj Sachdeva, Anita Hassanandani and husband Rohit Reddy, Faisal Khan (who has previously won Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa) and Muskaan Kataria, Geeta Phogat and Pawan Kumar, Sourabh Raj Jain and Riddhima Jain, Shantanu Maheshwari and Nityaami Shirke, Vindu Dara Singh and Dina Umarova, Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira, Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli, Shraddha Arya and Alam Makkar.
The show will have Raveena Tandon and Ahmed Khan as judges.
