This Sunday’s Koffee With Karan was all about about getting to know the cast of Karan’s upcoming production Student of the Year 2. While Tiger Shroff was the established star returning to the Koffee Kouch for a second round, the episode served as an intro to Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria who are making their debut with the film.
Tiger was the first to enter solo and Karan got to the point quick as he asked the Baaghi 2 star about his much ballyhooed relationship with Dish Patani. Tiger and Disha starred together in the Baaghi sequel and have been rumoured to be dating since ages. Tiger claimed they were just friends.
“We don’t talk about it that much. I am great friends with her and I love her company. We are keeping it at that. We have similar interests and I don’t have many friends in the industry. She is one of the few friends I have, and whom I’m comfortable with,”Tiger Shroff
Then the two ladies Taran and Ananya came out to join Tiger on the Kouch. Ananya for one was ready for Karan’s trademark tough questions. When he stated that some people might wonder what a newcomer like Ananya was doing on the show, she immediately agreed that she didn’t “deserve” to be there.
“I agree with this section because I haven’t done anything. I don’t deserve to be here. There are so many people out there who are talented...I am just lucky that my dad was an actor and this is what I had wanted to do,”Ananya Panday
Her frankness came as a shock to Karan as well. The three then got into the spirit of teasing each other. Tiger claimed that Ananya and Tara are completely fake with each other, adding that they probably rehearsed to come on KWK. Tara gave it back by saying that working with a hunk like Tiger wasn’t a problem because she didn’t have a crush on his at all. The two girls agree that of the three Tiger took the longest time with hair and make-up.
More goss came out during the following rounds. Tiger revealed that he is afraid of sleeping alone. He sleeps with his mom at home and a crew member on set! Tara is a childhood friend of Ishaan Khatter but kept mum about the Dhadak star’s personal life. She did however admit to a crush on original SOTY star Sidharth Malhotra who also happens to be her neighbour.
Karan shared a video message from “ex-students” Sidharth, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan for the new batch. The original trio wished the newcomers good luck and had a ton of praise for Tiger.
During the rapid fire round, Tiger confessed that he isn’t a natural dancer and started learning only for his debut film. Ananya said that she has a crush on Kartik Aryan, who is starring with in the upcoming remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh. When asked what they had that the “ex-students” didn’t, the two girls joked that they could name the President of India, a playful jibe at Alia Bhatt fumbling the question years ago.
“I started dancing for my first film, which was about five years ago. People don’t believe that. I am not a good dancer. I just work very hard. If you ask me to dance on spot, I probably cannot.”Tiger Shroff
Finally, it was Ananya who walked away with Koffee Hamper.
