The finale of Koffee With Karan 6 brought together two stars who have, in the past, shared some not-so-nice opinions about each other. With our excitement up there, so began KWK with global icon Priyanka Chopra and sass-queen of the century, Kareena Kapoor.
Needless to say, there were MOMENTS:
Karan Reminds Kareena of Her 'Shahid' Life
The show started off on an awkward-but-hilarious note when Karan asked about a Bali trip Priyanka and Kareena took (with friends). Priyanka jumped into an explanation about how the trip was “boring”, saying she left for a club. Kareena was “sleeping”, while Karan reminded her that she was in her Shahid phase and was a vegetarian, inquiring if there was egg in any meal. When Priyanka was asked if she turned vegetarian for Shahid too, she denied.
Priyanka Was Teased About Being "Too Happy"
Karan pointed out how Priyanka was elated in ALL her wedding photos, when she explained that she tried really hard to be a “shy” bride, but couldn’t pull it off. She explained that since she was a child she had wanted to be a “dulhaniya”.
Of Love (And Proposals)
Kareena talked about her proposal in Greece. Priyanka pointed out how she was proposed to in Greece too. Kareena also spoke about “still being head over heels in love” with Saif, saying she “always will be for the rest of her life.” Priyanka spoke about her in-laws and how they are very “culturally embrasive”.
Karan Teased Kareena for Her "Guts"
Making fun of Kareena’s gossip-girl tendencies (which he accepts he greatly contributes to) Karan pointed out their common Whatsapp group “Guts” where Kareena shares posts of people’s fashion faux pas moments. Karan pointed out how Kareena is the “most active” member. Priyanka pitched in with support, saying she stalks people that she doesn’t follow too, and went on to say “I love gup.”
On Work, Ambitions and Choices
Priyanka spoke about balancing Hollywood-Bollywood with “no sleep and no food”, when Kareena pointed out why exactly that is the reason she would never be able to pull that off. Kareena explained that she is “too deeply rooted” in India, and doesn’t have the kind of determination and ambition as PC to pack everything and leave.
On Feminism and a Woman's Choice
Kareena also spoke about how she is “very private” about her family life and has always wanted that. Priyanka added on, talking about how that is “what feminism stands for”, that a woman gets to choose if she wants to be a homemaker or focus on her career, or balance both.
And of Course, Taimur and the Dolls
Karan went on to bring up the “Taimur doll” and Kareena was clearly not impressed. She complained that it looks like “Chucky the Doll and doesn’t look like Taimur Ali Khan at all.” She continued, “Blue eyes, scruffy hair and a bandh gala doesn’t make him my son!”
She also looked worried about the paps, and said she can only “request them” to not take his picture.
On 'Priyanka Chopra Jonas' and Social Media Verification
Karan got a huge kick out of constantly calling them ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’ and ‘Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ and PC went on to narrate er story about changing her name “on Insta” because that’s what makes it legit.
Can we agree? Yes!
On Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan
Kareena or “Chhoti Ma” as Karan kept calling her, also spoke about Kartik Aaryan (who Sara Ali Khan said would date) and Kareena gave her approval saying, “He’s massy, she’s classy. That always works.”
