Season 6 of Koffee With Karan has seen many celebs make their debut on the Koffee couch, from artistes Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh to Baahubali stars Rana Dagubatti and Prabhas and director SS Rajamouli. The latest stars to premiere on the show are Rhea and Harshvardhan Kapoor, who joined their sister Sonam on the couch.
While Sonam might have got her foot in her mouth during her earlier appearances — as Karan was quick to point out — this episode saw the other two Kapoor siblings spill some deets as well. Here’s what we learned about the crazy Kapoor trio.
Sonam Stalks These Celebs on Social Media
When Karan asks her to name some celebrities whom she stalks on social media, Sonam has some surprising answers. She names Sonakshi Sinha saying, “I just like how she is on Instagram. She’s cool.” She also mentions that she likes stalking Tiger Shroff for videos of him working out and dancing.
Harshvardhan Never Celebrates Birthdays
While sister Sonam may be a diva, Harshvardhan is definitely the quieter of the Kapoor siblings. In a guest appearance via video, Anil Kapoor mentions that it baffles him that his son has never celebrated his birthday since he was seven! Apparently Harshvardhan’s explanation for this is that he considers his birthday to be like any other day.
The Kapoor Kids Don’t Call Their Parents Mom And Dad
With a man as eccentric as Anil Kapoor as the patriarch, it’s no surprise that the Kapoor household doesn’t function according to conventional rules. Rhea reveals that instead of calling their parents dad and mom, they lovingly refer to them as AK and Sonu (Sunita Kapoor).
Rhea is Great at Mimicry
When asked to talk about each of his kids, Anil Kapoor urges Karan to get Rhea to mimic Sonam and Kareena. She goes on to do a spot on impression of Bebo’s reaction while shooting for the song ‘Tareefan’ from Veere di Wedding on which Rhea was a producer. “Sonam till date doesn’t know the lyrics of ‘Tareefan’, Bebo was lip syncing the wrong lyrics in front of Qaran and Badshah. And they went about saying we killed it, we were fab,” she said.
Sonam Hold A Grudge Against Karan
Soman might have been on her best behaviour considering sister Rhea was sitting right next to her. However, she couldn’t help spilling some sass when Karan asks her which actor she thinks she looks best with. She says she wants to say Fawad Khan but can’t because Karan “sent him back”. Her comment is discernibly in reference to Karan’s statement that he would not work again with a Pakistani actor after he was deemed as ‘anti-national’ by political entities for working with Fawad in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Karan was understandably left tongue-tied.
Sonam also says that she thinks she looks great with Salman Khan, whom she co-starred with in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
