Kaun Banega Crorepati season 9 has seen it’s first crorepati in the form of a social worker from Jamshedpur, Anamika Mazumdar.
Indian Express reports that Mazumdar had no more lifelines left when she attempted the question in the yet-to-be-aired episode. She did, however, quit after winning her crore, instead of risking it for the 7 crore question.
According to a source, Anamika was a very practical and reasonable kind of a person who took each question very seriously. When she reached the crore mark, even with no lifeline left, she reasoned all the options before choosing the right answer. Even Big B was surprised with her confidence and risk-taking attitude.
Biresh Choudhary, hailing from Haryana, won Rs 50 lakh before Mazumdar, and Arun Singh took home Rs 25 lakh. No one had won the coveted tag of crorepati in the 9th season of KBC before Anamika Mazumdar.
