From: Guwahati, Assam
Occupation: Teacher
Winning Amount: Rs 1 crore

A teacher who gives tuition, Jain’s husband got abducted by terrorists in 2003. She was 32 years old at that time, and has since, brought up her children alone. Legally her husband has been declared dead, though the family lives on hope.

Ravi Kalra

From: Gurugram
Occupation: Social Worker
Charity: The Earth Saviours Foundation
Winning Amount: Rs 25 Lakhs

Ravi Kalra, who is a social worker, works for the aged since the last 11 years. He runs The Earth’s Saviours foundation, and had TV comedian Kapil Sharma come in to support his cause.

Harakchand Sawla

From: Mumbai
Charity: Jeevan Jyot Cancer Relief & Care Trust
Winning Amount: Rs 25 lakh

Dr Harakchand Savla runs Jeevan Jyot, a cancer relief and care trust and provides accommodation, food and medicines to cancer patients and with their relatives, admitted in the various hospitals of Mumbai. Director Anurag Basu, a cancer survivor, came in to support Savla.

Manish Narayan Patil

From: Ambernath, Thane
Occupation: Cleaner in Ambernath Municipality Corporation
Winning Amount: Rs 12.5 lakh

Hailing from a lower middle class background, Patil struggles to overcome the trauma of the death of all the members of his family. With his winnings in the reality game show, he hopes to fulfil his son’s dream of taking cricket coaching classes.

Anantkumar Khanke

From: Hingoli, Marathwada
Occupation: Farmer
Winning Amount: Rs 12.5 lakh

On the hot seat, Khanke spoke about his struggles as farmer to merely survive. It moved Amitabh Bachchan enough to make him contribute to the repayment of loans of 1,000 farmers in UP.
