Hip Hip Hurray created and directed by Nupur Asthana completed 20 years on 21 October 2018. So the cast came together to thank fans for making it the cult show of the 90s.
On its 20th anniversary, Purab Kohli, Nauheed Cyrusi, Shweta Salve, Vishal Malhotra, Kishwar Merchant and the rest of the cast remembers the show fondly.
Hip Hip Hurray is based on the lives of 12th grade students at the DeNobili High School. It garnered a cult following among 90s kids who grew up watching the show, which first aired in 1998.
It was Purab Kohli’s first stint on TV and the actor is still remembered for his role in it. “Hip Hip Hurray changed my life. It placed me in a career and made me do things I never imagined I would be doing. To be loved for doing something you really loved doing is a privilege I am grateful to have had,” he says in the video.
