Winterfell Braces for Battle in Chilling ‘Game of Thrones’ Trailer

The end is nigh.

Just over a month before its premiere, a trailer for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones has been released. The trailer begins with a bloodied Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) running from something. “I know death. He’s got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one,” she says. Jon Snow and Daenerys are also seen arriving in Winterfell. The end of the trailer teases a standoff between the living and the White Walkers in the Battle of Winterfell.

The makers had earlier released a teaser that showed Jon, Arya and Sansa encounter statues of themselves while roaming through the crypts of Winterfell.

Season 8 of Game of Thrones will premiere on 14 April.
