It’s been three decades since the 1986 Chernobyl incident but till date nuclear disaster is synonymous to Chernobyl. It is said that the radioactive effects from the accident will stay there for 50,000 years.
Based on the infamous tragedy, HBO’s upcoming mini-series Chernobyl stars Jared Harris, Stell Skarsgard and Emily Watson.
HBO recently dropped the first trailer and it is clear that the show won’t shy away from the gory details and the horror of the disaster. The first look shows people suffering from the physical and psychological toll of tending to the people who got affected and are fighting to get a grasp of the extent of damage. The ambience created throughout the trailer is sure to give you goosebumps and force you to think about the misery of the people living there at the time of the disaster.
That trailer will make you count days till the release of its first episode.
All of the five episodes in the mini-series will be directed by Johan Renck. The first episode will premiere on the 6th of May.
