Bigg Boss is back in our lives and I have to admit, the mix of contestants in season 11 looks a lot better than the last one. After all the speculation around who’ll make it inside the house and who won’t, one thing is for sure– the hugs won’t even last till the second episode. By the way, my favourite so far is Mr Jallad, who as Salman rightly says, “can punch with his eyes”.
Salman rides onto the Bigg Boss stage to introduce the 18 players who will rule our lives for the next 100 days. Did you know that this year he’s moving in next to the drama house and is going to watch over all the madness rather closely himself? But what’s the padosiyon ka funda? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. All I know is that this bunch of four random outsiders will make life a living hell for the other 14. But will they never be in trouble themselves? If so, that might be super boring. But they’re an interesting bunch too. Especially Sabyasachi, who will hopefully come out of the closet on the show (if he hasn’t yet).
Salman didn’t spare the channel this year either! Bhai makes sure he talks about the money he’s getting paid. And this year, in the same breath as “11 Crore per episode”, he accuses the channel of “talent exploitation”.
Maybe that’s why they had to get the Judwaa 2 team in to distract us from the dizzying money talk. Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu and Salman Khan are the first ones to enter the house. So finally, who are the ones to follow? Check out our Bigg Boss 11 ke bandar-
1. Hiten Tejwani
Hiten Tejwani is the first contestant to enter the house after Salman. We haven’t seen the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor for quite some time now. My first impression of this gentleman? I think he’s got all the makings of a captain.
2. Akash Dadlani aka A- Cash
This rapper is already in the kaalkothri. His story is bilkul crazy. A-Cash claims that Mother-Mary visited him in his dreams and gave him the gift of music. Looks like Bappi da ka beta to be honest.
3. Sapna Choudhary
Sapna is a well-known Haryanvi singer, dancer and Youtube sensation. Salman has a tough time keeping up with her thumkas and this girl’s a major celebrity already. This “chalti phirti aafat” can’t wait to be in the house and make everyone else dance to her tunes. I love the fact that she talks about her suicide attempt. Go girl power!
4. Sshivani Durga
She’s here to change what the world thinks of godmen and saadhvis. Bhagwaan bachaaye inse. But she trashed Baba Om and she’s got science and some degrees backing her. Let’s see how many episodes it takes her to go down the same drain. :P
5. Priyank Sharma
From MTV Splitsvilla, Priyank Sharma brings his ripped six packs to Bigg Boss 11 and even Salman’s jealous. Let’s see how long this heartthrob takes to show his true colours. I hope he drops his ‘good boy’ image jaldi jaldi.
6. Benafsha Soonawalla
This DJ is the ‘hottie in the house’ and has got some serious chemistry going with Priyank. Too smitten by Salman to really say much in the first episode, she better find her dabangg voice rather quickly.
7. Jyoti Kumar
Bigg Boss thrives on local flavour and this gaon ki gori from a small village in Bihar, is in the house just to show city girls that English isn’t the only sass a girl needs. And to seal her entry into the house, she even got a gift for Salman.
Taking a break from the introductions, here’s a Judwaa 2 moment you won’t forget this entire season.
8. Bandagi Kalra
Bandagi Kalra believes “I am PRADA, you are nada”. That says a lot about her, apart from her moves in Salman’s Sultani akhada. This self-proclaimed beauty-with-brains, is an engineer by education and keeps getting modelling offers. She’s a Delhi girl and we can tell from a mile.
9. Arshi Khan
I’m not sure what her claim to fame is but she seems pretty capable of making everyone else’s life hell just for the drama. She’s obsessed with taking selfies and I don’t think it’ll take her any time to ‘drop the towel between her and Bigg Boss’. To be honest, she’s a bit creepy and looks like she’s going to be a real pain in the ass. If her Instagram videos are anything to go by, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
10. Hina Khan
From Spain to Lonavala, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star Hina Khan just got even more famous with Khatron Ke Khiladi. And now, Bigg Boss 11! Hina’s on a roll. She’s hugging everyone around the house, but let’s see how long the million dollar smile lasts. The house is getting crowded with TV stars I must say.
11. Puneesh Sharma
Puneesh Sharma is a jeeta jaagta stereotype. A Delhi boy, who runs a construction company and invests money in bars and nightclubs, this dude has a thing for ‘pretty ladies’. I can bet that he’s going to say some seriously sexist shit and trigger off all the pretty heads in the house. He’s no celebrity but in his head, he lives a life that’s even better than someone famous.
12. Zubair Khan
Yeh banda toh thoda danger hai, but when he starts telling his story, you know he’s a real tear jerker. But yeh Dongri ka don hai ya sabka bhai? Guess why he’s on the show? Probably the most interesting one till date, Zubair Khan hails from a notorious underworld family and is here so that he can win his kids back from his estranged wife.
13. Shilpa Shinde
Bhabhiji ghar par nahin, ab Bigg Boss par hain! Who else is capable of making Salman taste test some nasty pickles. Shilpa Shinde is leaving her bhabhiji avataar outside and has a sworn enemy even before entering the Bigg Boss 11 house. Guess who she’s ready to bite already?
14. Vikas Gupta
Ekta Kapoor just called this guy a Drama King, so you can imagine what Shilpa and the others are standing up against. Looks like his history with Shilpa is enough to burn the house down. A former channel head, this guy seems to have only one agenda, to make bhabhiji’s life hell.
Honestly, I was looking forward to seeing Dhinchak Pooja in the house, but hopefully this bunch will make the next 99 days dhinchak enough. So, any favourites just yet?
