Years before we googled ‘epic fail compilations’, before Vine even existed, before boomerang was nothing more than a Karate term, we still consumed a heavy dose of human stupidity caught on camera.

This regular portion of schadenfreude was the courtesy of ABC’s America's Funniest Home Videos, and its charming host and Primetime Emmy Award winner Tom Bergeron.

The show, which is even relevant in the age of viral videos, featured humorous homemade videos submitted by viewers, which included unintentional physical comedy, pets or children, and few staged practical jokes.

Bergeron, the voice behind the hilarious clips, hosted the show from 2001 to 2015. The show catered to the desi audience as well, though, initially it aired a Hindi dubbed version.

Other that AFHV, Bergeron, who turns 63 on 6 May, has also hosted Dancing with the Stars, syndicated game show Hollywood Squares, and was a fill-in host for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Here are some of the best Tom Bergeron moments and epic episodes he hosted in his 15-year tenure:

In his last episode, Bergeron was joined by a familiar face Bob Saget, who hosted the show for the first eight seasons. Check out their shenanigans below:

The show carried on even after Burgeron’s departure and is currently being hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro.
