Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das starrer 31st October finally gets a nod from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after four long months of anxious waiting.
Based on the assassination of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and its aftermath, the film could potentially trigger a nationwide controversy.
Harry Sachdeva, the film’s producer, admitted that he had to make 9 cuts and several modifications to the film, before getting a go ahead from the CBFC’s revising committee.

The political thriller had Soha learn Punjabi for her role, while Vir had to undergo training lasting four to five months. The lead pair play a married couple with twin sons, who are forced to flee their Delhi home on the day of the former Prime Minister’s assassination.
