Of Kisses and Cuts: CBFC Certificate of ADHM Allegedly Leaked

The alleged certificate gives details of all the cuts that have been made to the film prior to its release.

Karan Johar has barely heaved a sigh of relief since his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ran into trouble with the MNS, which threatened to stop its release.

And now, the ‘censor board certificate’ of the film has allegedly been leaked online.

The ‘certificate’ indicates all the cuts made in the film, including a kissing scene that has been chopped to 50% of its length.

The leaked ‘certificate’ suggests that five cuts have been made to the film, according to a report in Bollywoodlife.com. This is contrary to previous reports suggesting that there weren’t any major cuts in the film as it was deemed a family drama.

The Quint could not independently verify the authenticity of this ‘certificate.’

Firstly, kissing scenes of Alizeh (Anushka Sharma’s character) have been reduced to 50% of their length, wherever they occur. Some dialogues have also undergone changes, according to this leaked ‘certificate.’

For instance, ‘Kiska Zyaada Hot Hai’ has been replaced by ‘Kaun Zyada Hot Hai?’. Similarly, the dialogue ‘Saraswati Ko Dabao’ has been changed to ‘Saraswati Ko Chupao’. According to the photograph of the ‘certificate’, the dialogue – ‘Umr Mein Badi aur experience mein bhi kamaal hai’ has been chopped off along with its visuals.
