A 14-year-old girl from Surat who had run away from her home was found camping outside Varun Dhawan’s residence in Khar, Mumbai on Saturday. According to the Mumbai police, the girl was outside Varun’s building and created a ruckus insisting that she wanted to meet the actor even though she was informed by the security personnel that he was not at home.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, one of the residents of Varun Dhawan’s apartment building informed the Mumbai police on hearing the girl shouting. Once the police arrived, the girl agreed to leave with them, but only after she personally met the actor who was on his way back home at the same time.
It was then learnt that the girl is the daughter of a Surat based businessman who had sneaked out of her home on Friday afternoon and boarded a train to Mumbai, reached the city at night and went straight to Varun Dhawan’s residence to meet him. She was waiting outside the actor’s house till Saturday afternoon, when cops from the Santa Cruz police station finally questioned her.
The girl’s parents had registered a missing persons complaint with the Amroli police station in Surat after learning about her disappearance. After being picked up by the Mumbai police, the girl was taken back to Surat.
