5. Jimmy Kimmel To Host The 89th Academy Awards 2017

It’s confirmed. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the 89th Oscars next year. It’s the first time as an Oscar host for Kimmel who's been the face of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! since 2003.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Kimmel has emceed the Emmys twice, in 2012 and this past September.
