1. Salman Khan Promotes Freaky Ali So It Can Grab More Eyeballs
Salman Khan’s brother, Sohail Khan has been going all out to promote his next directorial film Freaky Ali starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The director recently admitted that he requested his superstar brother to help launch his pet project because he believes in the film and wants it to do well.
We have been honest to the film. We have stayed true to the film while casting for it. I requested bhai (Salman) to be part of the film, so that we can promote the film, so that it reaches more people and grabs more eyeballs.Sohail Khan, Filmmaker
Sohail also said that when they were launching the trailer of the film minus the superstar, members of the press said that they would not show up. But with Salman at the trailer launch, it grabbed enough eyeballs to get everyone talking about the film, which is the quirky story of a poor man learning and playing golf.
Sohail also said that Salman reportedly cancelled his trip to Ladakh, where he will be shooting Tubelight with Kabir Khan next.
The Jai Ho director was gushing about how Freaky Ali might break all existing perceptions about golf, which goes to show that it only takes talent to drive a person to the top of his/her game.
It’s an inspirational story, from being a nobody to being an Indian champion. It’s the story of rags to riches. The credit goes to the writer.Sohail Khan
