1. Salman Khan to Star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Next

Rajkumar Santoshi who made the cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna in 1994 with Salman and Aamir Khan will now be directing the Dabangg Khan again. Apparently, Salman has given a nod to the project, which will be produced by his sister and brother-in-law, Alvira and Atul Agnihotri. The film reportedly be ready in time to hit the cinemas on Diwali 2017. So fans of Bhaijaan can expect a Diwali dhamaka next year!

2. What are Rohit Shetty, Tamannaah and Ranveer Singh Upto?

Over the last few days, social media has been abuzz with the news that Rohit Shetty has managed to cast Ranveer Singh and Baahubali actress Tamannaah in his next film. However according to a PTI report, the rumour has now been confirmed by the director himself.

I really can’t be talking about this. But yes, they are on board. Ranveer’s energy, exuberance and huge popularity make this project more interesting, and Tamannaah is a massive star with South Indian audiences. Wait and watch, it will be worth the wait!

3. Sunny Leone Celebrates Her Anniversary With Hubby During One Night Stand Promotions

Sunny Leone, who is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film One Night Stand was in for a surprise when she reached Bangalore to promote her film. She and her husband Daniel Weber, who have completed five years of marriage, received a grand welcome by the hotel, as the staff was aware of their anniversary. The hotel arranged a horse carriage for the couple and welcomed them with garlands when they arrived at the hotel. The couple was of course touched by this gesture. Check out Sunny’s tweet:

4. The Jungle Book Gets the 2nd Biggest Box-Office Opening in India After Airlift in 2016

Clearly Indian fans of Disney’s The Jungle Book were eagerly waiting for the release of the film. It sure seems like fans rushed to cinemas as soon as the film released on Friday. The collections on day 1 were as high as Rs 10.09 cr (net), setting a new benchmark in India! Day 2 saw a huge jump and the film managed to collect Rs 13.51 cr taking the two-day total to Rs 23.6 cr. Experts say the figures on Sunday are expected to be higher than Saturday.

The movie has bagged the biggest day 1 for a Hollywood release in India for 2016. It became the 3rd biggest day 1 for any Hollywood movie ever in India after Fast & Furious 7 and Avengers Age of Ultron.

It is also the 2nd biggest opening across Hindi and Hollywood releases in India after Airlift this year.

5. Sardaar Gabbar Singh Collections Drop

Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan Sardaar Gabbar Singh which got a huge opening of approximately Rs 30 crore on day 1in worldwide collections saw a drop on the very next day. IANS Chennai reported that the numbers fell on the second day across most locations, according to a trade expert.

The film managed to collect Rs 31 crore on its first day worldwide. It’s a phenomenal start, but the numbers dropped across major locations on Saturday, following the very bad initial response from fans and critics alike.
