The iconic filmmaker Yash Chopra told stories that were beyond their times. But with each film he gave us melodies that refuse to rust with time. From one of his early hits Waqt (1965) all the way up to his last Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), his movies and his music have stood the test of time, across their themes- family dramas, romantic triangles, psycho thrillers and bold pairings. The few things they all have in common- Lata Mangeshkar, Swiss landscapes, chiffon sarees and sublime poetry.
On his birth anniversary, we pay tribute to the legend with a collection of the best songs from his directorial treasures, that have left his signature mark on Hindi cinema and its music.
