The making of Ude Dil Befikre, the title track of the Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer, captures the very essence of its bold and daring feel. Music directors Vishal and Shekhar, the creative minds behind the song, were as befikre in their approach during its making, as the lead pair is on camera.
Vishal-Shekhar share an interesting tidbit about how they came up with the song while talking to Adi Chopra about it, sitting on a flight of stairs. Benny Dayal proved to be the perfect choice for the song says Vishal, thanks to his childhood years in the Middle East.
Vaibhavi Merchant is the song’s choreographer and she too tells an interesting story about Aditya Chopra’s idea of ‘daring in love’.
But the most interesting part of this behind-the-scenes video are the fleeting glimpses of its reclusive director. Yup, Aditya Chopra is in the video obviously, but one can only see his back or a fleeting profile. Ranveer and Vaani of course are mad as ever in the song, but they seem pretty mellow and serious on set.
Befikre is set to release in theatres on 9 December, 2016.
