Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ Pushed as ‘Kaala’ Gets 27 April Release
Can two Rajinikanth films release in the same month? Highly unlikely.
The release date of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kaala was announced on Saturday evening and it’s going to hit theatres on 27 April. This also means that Rajinikanth’s much awaited outing with Akshay Kumar - 2.0, which was earlier scheduled to release in April too will now be pushed.
The Tamil superstar’s son-in-law Dhanush, who is also the producer of Kaala, announced the release date on Twitter earlier on Saturday.
Director Shankar’s 2.0 is currently undergoing intensive post-production and the film will now be pushed to later date in 2018.
The mega budget 2.0’s release date has been repeatedly pushed - it was earlier scheduled for Diwali 2017. However, this was soon pushed to January 2018 - as a Republic Day release. During the audio release of the film, it was rumoured that the film would now hit theatres on 14 April, 2018. Watch this space for 2.0’s official release date soon.
