Varun Dhawan has had a rather unpleasant brush with stardom recently. The actor has been forced to file an official complaint with the police after being stalked by a female fan for days, who even threatened to commit suicide if he didn’t respond to her messages.

According to Mid-Day, the Judwaa 2 star registered a complaint with Santacruz police station on 2 November against a woman stalker who has been hounding Varun, bombarding him with WhatsApp messages. A few days after he blocked her, he got a call from an unidentified person who told him that the woman would commit suicide if he didn’t respond to her messages.

2. Kept Pride, Honour of Rajputs in Mind: Bhansali on ‘Padmavati’

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, following protests and problems against his film "Padmavati", on Wednesday said the film upholds the honour of Rajputs and has not depicted anything that will hurt anyone's sentiments.

A post on the official Twitter handle of "Padmavati" and in an accompanying video link, Bhansali, who has so far refrained from commenting much on the controversy, says: "I've made this film 'Padmavati' with a lot of sincerity, responsibility and hard work. I have always been inspired by Rani Padmavati's story and this film salutes her valour and sacrifice. But because of some rumours, this film has become a subject of controversy.

3. Women Need to Take Names: Farhan Akhtar on Harassment in B-Town

At a press conference for spreading awareness of the campaign, Bas Ab Bahut Ho Gaya - Enough Is Enough!, Farhan Akhtar made waves by speaking about taboo topics such as sexual harassment and molestation in Bollywood. The campaign is being led by the Population Foundation Of India (PFI) and Farhan Akhtar’s initiative MARD(Men Against Rape and Discrimination). Farhan was accompanied by director Feroz Abbas Khan and Poonam Muttreja, the Executive Director of PFI.

As the press raised serious questions about sexual harassment, abuse, and safety of female actors, Farhan insisted that things can only be put in motion once the women speak up about their abusers.

5. ED Sends Fresh Summons to Nawazuddin in Noida Fraud Case

The Enforcement Directorate summoned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui to appear in front of its Lucknow office on Thursday. The ED reportedly wants the actor to explain how he received Rs 1.15 crore from a Noida-based company called AddsBook.

According to News18, the actor reportedly did not show up for the hearing, but his lawyer and his brother, Shamsuddin, attended on his behalf.

Nawazuddin had earlier been summoned by the ED, but had failed to attend the meeting, because of which a fresh notice was sent his way.
