1. Bachchan Blogs About Bofors, Panama Before Paradise Papers Report

On Sunday morning, almost 12 hours before the Paradise Papers’ report by Indian Express became public, Amitabh Bachchan blogged about being grilled, humiliated and abused for several years for his alleged involvement in the Bofors scandal and later the Panama Papers leak.

Bachchan began his blog by addressing the recent allegations in the media on the issue of illegal constructions, for which legal notices were served to him by the BMC. The actor went on to tell his readers to not direct their anger against the media who were mere messengers. Big B also states that he would as always follow the law of the land in all such matters.

The veteran actor then bares his heart about what he and his family went through in trying to prove their innocence in the Bofors scandal.

2. To Those Trolling Milind Soman: Remember, Age Is Just a Number

Thank you all for your wishes! Have funnnnn !! :) #Tromso #NorthernLights

A post shared by Milind Usha Soman (@milindrunning) on

Age is just a number, right? And Milind Soman, proves it by celebrating his 52nd birthday by trekking to the Everest, then watching the Northern lights and travelling across Norway with his girlfriend Ankita Konwar.

Soman thanked his fans for their birthday wishes by posting a picture with Ankita from Tromso, Norway.

And a few days before hitting the roads of Oslo, Milind just went ahead and climbed the Everest. The model, actor and runner had a pre-birthday cake at the highest bakery in the world. Just like that.

But Milind’s relationship with his younger girlfriend Ankita seems to be giving online trolls sleepless nights. Sample the tasteless tweets below:

Dear trolls, once again - age is just a number. The world can do without your judgmental tweets on any relationship that two consenting adults share.

Speaking about the age gap between him and Ankita earlier, Milind had said in an interview, “A relationship, it’s about both the people. And I don’t consider age at all for anything — whether its relationships, fitness or health or whatever.”

So just shut it down.

Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi, who is known for making films like Ek Pal (1986), Rudaali (1993), Darmiyaan (1997) and Daman (2001), has been battling kidney cancer for the past few months. On the morning of 6 November, the 61-year-old filmmaker was rushed to a hospital in the Mumbai suburbs as her condition became serious.

The Quint got in touch with Kalpana’s mother Lalita Lajmi who confirmed the news and said that the filmmaker is critical and has been admitted in the ICU this morning. She also said that her daughter has been going for dialysis four times a week as she doesn’t have two kidneys anymore - one kidney was operated on and the second one is also affected.

According to filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, all the medical expenses incurred by Kalpana Lajmi have been taken care of by the Indian Films and Television Directors Association, Aamir Khan and Rohit Shetty.

Kalpana Lajmi, who was also legendary singer and music composer Bhupen Hazarika’s partner for 40 years, wanted to make a biopic on his life but that has now taken a backseat now with her deteriorating health.
