Priyanka’s American TV series, Quantico began it’s second season this month and she will soon be making her Hollywood debut in Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. But does the actress who had a successful season one with Quantico have reason to worry?
According to the TV ratings on Variety, the first episode of the second season saw a slow start for the show. According to Nielson, Quantico returned with a 1.0 and 3.6 million viewers from the age group of 18-49 years. This is 49% lower than its viewers from Season 1 when the show premiered on ABC.
But the second episode of the season titled Lipstick seems to have picked up a 100% (2.0) on the ratings chart. But this is still significantly lower than the previous season which saw an estimated 2.85 in ratings for ABC’s rookie show in the first three episodes.
According to Variety, season one of Quantico was ranked 20th among all prime-time programs in 18-49 years and 14th among scripted series.
Breaking down the numbers: Here’s how Nielson calculates its ratings points, according to TVByNumbers:
“If you see a 3.4 national adults 18-49 rating, that doesn’t mean 3.4 million adults 18-49, it just means 3.4 percent of the 127,860,000 adults 18-49 in the United States (down from 131,490,000 last season) who live in a household with a television were watching based on the Nielsen estimates for the 2011-12 television season.”
