The 2019 big Billboard Music Awards swayed the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1. Kelly Clarkson hosted the wonderful night and Cardi B lead the nominees. With 21 nominations in 18 categories dominating the stage with their powerful acceptance speech , it was a starry night at LA. For Drake it was more special, as he made history by becoming the most-awarded musician in the history of BBMA, bagging 12 awards to make an all-time total of 27.

Taylor Swift entered the stage with Panic! At the Disco’s Brendon Urie with an entire drumline troops and dancers all dressed in sherbet-colored clothes to perform “ME!”

Kelly Clarkson opened the amazing night’s (May 1) 2019 Billboard Music Awards in style. Wearing a shimmery black dress, she made her glittery entry through the audience and took her position next to her co-host Terry Crews to announce Taylor Swift’s eye-popping opening “Me!” performance .
The BTS make history
BTS won the 2019 Billboard Music Award for Top Duo/Group. The seven-member pop boy band won the Top Social Artist for the third consecutive time and it’s a history as the first ever Korean-pop band to win the award for Top Duo/Group!
BTS were nominated along with Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Panic at the Disco and Dan-Shay.

Introduced by the very stylish Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey stormed the stage when she came to receive the Billboard Music award’s Icon trophy with her strong performance and speech.
She took to the stage with a iconic performance of her new single A No No, then slowly transitioning into some wonderful classics from Always Be My Baby and Emotions to Hero.
Drake Creating history
The superstar rapper has now a whopping total of 27 Billboard Awards in his kitty. He also managed to win the biggest billboard prize of the night - the award for the top artist by defeating the likes of Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Post Malone and Travis Scott.
Drake during his acceptance speech thanked his mother for her "relentless effort" in his life.
