Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his big Diwali release, Housefull 4. Now, the makers have dropped the latest song from the film, Chammo. The song is set in the 15th century and stars the entire cast - Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda and Chunky Panday. While the men are dressed in kurtas, the women dazzle in elaborate lehengas.

Sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Shadab Faridi, Chammo’s lyrics are by Sameer Anjaan and composed by Sohail Sen. The reincarnation comedy is fourth in the franchise headlined by Akshay. The film will be a part of the competition with Made in China and Saand Ki Aankh.
The story spans 600 years, from 1419 to 2019. The trailer had dropped some time back, and sees Kriti, Pooja and Kirti as princesses of Sitamgarh in 1419, with Akshay and Bobby as princes and Riteish as a dance teacher. With Akshay remembering their previous life and attempting to align it with their current one, a chaotic situation arises leaving us in splits.
Housefull 4 was supposed to be directed by Sajid Khan but the director was on suspension after some allegations came up against him during last year’s #MeToo movement. The decision to keep him off movies was taken by Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association. After that, Farhad Samji took over the reins.
