Hate Story 4

Skin show, raunchy scenes, lame songs, repeat!

That's Hate Story fourth time around. Vishal Pandya's "vishal" filmography boasts of the previous instalment of the Hate Story franchise. So, things haven't changed much. There is still lots to hate in this one and a story that is conspicuous by its absence.

Two brothers Aryan and Rajveer Khurana fancy the same women, Tasha. The younger one, Rajveer, while spiking her drink, confesses to his brother that he loves her. Bade bhaiyya says he should try to win her over the conventional way because it's easy that way. Chota bhai readily agrees and pays goons to harass Tasha so he can come as her saviour! Also he now is convinced he is in "sachha pyaar" with her.

A day after the International Women’s Day, this is exactly the kind of film we need to wake up from our slumber!

Tasha, the wannabe model, is also on a mission. Her smirk flashed right before the interval tells us there is more hate than meets the eye. Soon, we know the revenge story angle and in all fairness, 10 mins after the interval the film SHOULD HAVE ENDED.

Instead it leaves no stone unturned to add more raunchy scenes, skin show and lame songs to make it a ruthless 'death by drudgery.' So much for an erotic thriller! *eye roll*

Vivaan Bhatena and Karan Wahi are following the motions and Urvashi Rautela knows the focus is on her skimpy clothes and she plays along, regularly stripping down to bare minimum and gyrating to some forgettable numbers.

It’s amusing to think about what gets desperate Indian audiences excited in the name of erotica. Infantile zooming in on bikini clad models seems to be enough?  If that’s what turns you on, too, I’m sure this review will do little to deter you from watching Hate Story 4!

For the rest, I’ll leave you with a dialogue from the film that the obsessive lover Rajveer mouths, "I am somebody who can get any body but I only want your body.”  Let's never forget that!
