Mohalla Assi has kept us waiting for quite some time now, and if this trailer is anything to go by, its going to be worth our while.
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie is based on a novel by noted Hindi writer Kashi Nath Singh, and focuses on the life of a middle class family that earns its bread and butter by organising religious rituals.
Sunny Deol, will play the film’s lead character, a guy who has the knack for using cuss words in daily conversations, his innocent wife, played by Sakshi Tanwar, doesn’t understand foreigners’ interest in Varanasi and spends a lot of time mulling over it.
The film looks like its going to be hilarious despite the generous sprinkling of cuss words. Noted Bhojpuri actor Ravikishan, also has an important role the film, and without doubt will add a lot of colour.
