Kashmiri Boy Bitten by the Acting Bug
Mir is from a small town in Kashmir who came to Mumbai following his dream to become an actor. Mohsin who belongs to a well-to-do Kashmiri business family was not interested in taking over the family business. Both Mir and his brother decided to leave home for Mumbai to try their luck in Bollywood.
Manish Malhotra’s In-house Model
Mir started his career as a model and soon became the in-house model for Manish Malhotra. Now we all know how close Manish and Urmila are so we don’t think it’s difficult to guess who played cupid here. According to reports, the two met during Manish’s niece’s wedding in 2014 and hit it off immediately.
Mir Was a Mr India Runner-up
Mohsin Akhtar Mir was the second runner-up at the Mr India model hunt in 2007. Besides walking the ramp, Mohsin was also a part of AR Rahman’s music video, Taj Mahal.
He Also Acted in Films
Mohsin started getting a lot of offers from TV but he wasn’t interested. His first film was It’s a Man’s World, in which he played the main lead opposite Mouli Ganguly. He was also a part of Farhan Akhtar’s Luck By Chance, in which you might remember him as the guy who gives Farhan some competition as they try to bag the same film. Mir also featured along with his brother in the film Mumbai Mast Kalandar in 2011.
