Abhishek Bachchan On Doing 'Mowgli' For Aaradhya
Netflix has roped in Bollywood biggies, Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff for their original film, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle which is hitting the streaming service on 7 December.
Bachchan, in an interview with Mid-day, opened up about choosing to play Bagheera.
"I wanted to do the film for Aaradhya. When I told her that I'm playing Bagheera, she was thrilled. She has not seen all our films; she loves to read and is busy with her books. But I am keen to show her this movie," he says. Joyous that his seven-year-old child has inherited his love for the Rudyard Kipling classic, he adds, "I have grown up on The Jungle Book, and now my daughter is also a part of it," said Abhishek Bachchan.

Lara Had Complained Sajid Was Rude to a Co-Star From 'Housefull': Mahesh Bhupathi
Tennis champion Mahesh Bhupathi has revealed his actor wife Lara Dutta had complained to him that her co-star was being subjected to "rude, vulgar" behaviour on the sets of "Housefull" by director Sajid Khan.
Bhupathi said she had opened up about the incident before their marriage.
"When we were dating she was shooting for 'Housefull' and we were in London at that time. She would come home and her closest friend was her hair dresser and they both would be complaining about how one of her co-stars was being treated by the director. Rude, vulgar," he said, reports PTI.
Salim Khan to Be Feted at IFFI
Bollywood's popular scriptwriter Salim Khan will be presented with the IFFI Special Award at the closing ceremony of the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for his Lifetime Contribution to Cinema.
He will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the gala here on Wednesday, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore announced on Monday.
"It's a privilege for IFFI to honour Salim Khan for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema," Rathore tweeted.
As a master screenwriter, Salim is known for having penned the screenplay of several iconic films such "Deewaar" and "Zanjeer". He had a formidable partnership with celebrated writer Javed Akhtar.
’Last Tango in Paris’ Director Bertolucci Dies at 77
Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci, whose films include “Last Tango In Paris” and “1900”, has died in Rome aged 77, Italian media said on Monday.
Considered one of the giants of Italian and world cinema, Bertolucci was the only Italian ever to win the Oscar for best film, snapping up the award in 1988 for “The Last Emperor.”
The biographical masterpiece about the last Chinese emperor won a total of nine Oscars, all of those for which it was nominated, reports PTI.
Dhanush's 'Maari 2' Gets U/A Certificate
Dhanush’s much-awaited film Maari 2 has got an U/A certificate. The actor shared the news on Twitter. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the sequel to the 2015 film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Sai Pallavi along with Dhanush. The film is set to release on 21 December.
