1. ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ Mints Rs 34.10 Crore on First Day & 35.30 Crore on Day 2

Salman Khan has bounced back at the office with his latest film Tiger Zinda Hai, which raked in Rs 34.10 crore on its opening day. The second day was even better as the film made 35.30 crore on Saturday. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to hit 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger and also stars Katrina Kaif, Angad Bedi, Kumud Mishra, and Nawab Shah.

2. Ajay Devgn Announces his First Marathi Film

Ajay Devgn is all set to venture into the Marathi film industry. The actor shared a video on his Twitter page announcing his first Marathi film titled Aapla Manus' which means 'Our person'. The film will be directed by Satish Rajwade starring Nana Patekar, Sumeet Raghavan and Irawati Harshe. The film is set to release on 9 Feb 2018 release.

In the video, the actor talks about his love of Marathi culture and how it has grown over the years specially after marrying Kajol, who is half Marathi.

3. Tiger Zinda Hai Takes Fire in Rajasthan, UP, MP & Mumbai

The Salman Khan starrer, Tiger Zinda Hai, is facing heat in various states of India. Why? Because the Valmiki community has reportedly taken offence to Salman’s alleged use of the word bhangi during an interview. They have staged mass protests and burnt effigies of Salman outside various cinema halls in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

The protesters have reportedly vandalised properties and torn posters of the film. According to a report in IANS, the police remanded several people in custody.

4. Rajinikanth to Announce Political Debut on New Year’s Eve?

Superstar Rajinikanth is likely to announce his political debut on 31 December, according to CNN News18. Between 26-31 December, Rajinikanth will hold public meetings with his fans every day and may float his own political party on New Year’s Eve, said CNN News18.

The announcement was made after Rajinikanth met close aide Tamilaruvi Manian at his residence in Chennai on 22 December.
