The latest season of Koffee With Karan got off to a flying start with Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt on Sunday night. The totally entertaining episode saw Shah Rukh at his wittiest and Alia at her charming best. Here are a few things we learnt from the SRK and Alia episode.
Alia Is Single
Alia has been linked to most of her co-actors including Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor. When asked point blank about who she’s dating by host Karan Johar, the actress promptly denied that she’s currently in a relationship with anyone. Alia went blue in the face denying her link ups too while admitting that she began dating when she was 16. Funnily, Shah Rukh said that he was very awkward with all the ‘personal’ dating questions aimed at Alia.
SRK Thinks Alia Is Too Good Too Soon
While Shah Rukh was quick to agree that Alia is one of the best actresses amongst the younger generation, he also made the observation that “Alia is too good too soon”. According to SRK the actor and part-time philosopher, Alia needs to enjoy the bad as much as the good, and if she is already too good too soon, she may not learn the lessons of doing stuff which she may look down upon. Taking an example from his own career, SRK went on to cite how he used to look down upon Bollywood cliches like running around trees - but how much doing exactly that made him a better actor.
Alia Will Be Upset If She Doesn’t Win An Award For Udta Punjab
Will Alia be upset if Sonam Kapoor gets picked for the Best Actress trophy instead of herself? Yes. While Alia said that she really thought Sonam was very good in the Neerja Bhanot biopic, she also admitted that she would be upset if she didn’t get an award for her performance in Udta Punjab. Shah Rukh Is Still Looking To Do His Best Film
When asked about his state of mind, Shah Rukh confessed that he was at rest but not at peace. King Khan’s restlessness came from his belief that he still hadn’t done a film that he could count as the best among world cinema. Yes, we can’t help but agree to that one.

Alia adores Kangana’s airport looks but is honestly puzzled about where the actress is headed to. The actress said that she wonders where Kangana lands with all those wonderful ensembles she’s clicked in at airports.
Alia Would Want to Have a Liaison With Katrina Kaif
When Karan asks Alia which actress she would want to have a liaison with if she were to experiment, Alia promptly replies that her choice would be Katrina Kaif. The reason Alia gives is that, she recently went “bunny-hopping” with Katrina and really enjoyed it. The best moment here was Shah Rukh Khan asking if someone could explain what bunny-hopping is and if Alia and Katrina were bunny-hopping on top of each other!
Shah Rukh Really Regrets Not Doing 3 Idiots
Shah Rukh Khan wittily admits that he is the “4th Idiot”. On being asked which film he regrets having let go off, SRK confessed that he is the 4th idiot for missing the opportunity to do Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. According to reports, Hirani had first approached Shah Rukh to play the role of Rancho in the 2009 blockbuster. The film later went to Aamir Khan.
