Kate Winslet has finally broken what every Titanic lover had doubts about: Jack Dawson’s ‘unnecessary’ demise.
In James Cameron’s 1997 version of one of the biggest maritime disasters of the 20th century, we see Jack sink into the freezing water as his lover Rose DeWitt Bukater literally ‘floats’ on for dear life on a plank of wood in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Winslet, who played Rose, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night and debunked the scene; she like others believes that the death could have been avoided since “Jack could actually have fit” on the plank.

In fact, an experimentative couple on Imgur proved that the two characters could easily have been accommodated on the ‘spacious’ plank.
