When Karan Johar launched his book, The Unsuitable Boy, he highlighted many instances of being targeted for being the way he is – open about his sexuality and being a devout friend.
He talked about his souring relationship with Kajol after her husband Ajay Devgn apparently called and abused him before the release of his directorial venture Shivaay. Devgn tweeted saying that Johar allegedly bribed some people on Twitter to bad-mouth about his movie.
Karan Johar and Kajol have been friends since their teenage days. In this exigency, Johar expected Kajol to stand up for him, instead, she replied to the controversy with one word, ‘shock’.
Kajol has been silent ever since. Johar went on to speak about his break of friendship with Kajol on many occasions, Kajol on the other hand chose to remain silent.
Recently, at a promotional event for her upcoming movie with Dhanush, she was asked about her very open differences with Johar, she replied:
