So today morning when I woke up to the news of the Johnny Depp - Amber Heard split, I wasn’t surprised but at least their marriage lasted over a year. Here are few celebs who didn’t even make it to the first anniversary and some not even to their honeymoon!
Britney Spears-Jason Alexander (55 Hours)
Like they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but when Britney Spears got hitched in Vegas it had to make headlines. Back in 2004, the pop star tied the knot with her childhood friend Alexander after partying in Las Vegas. But the moment they came to their senses, that is after two days, they called it off. The shortest wedding of all time which lasted a mere 55 hours.
Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries (72 Days)

Not one of the shortest celeb marriage out there but surely the most infamous one. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ wedding lasted just for 72 days after spending a whopping $10million. But like any other Kardahian scandal this one also ended with a statement by Kim who said:
After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned
Drew Barrymore-Jeremy Thomas (29 Days)
Drew was only 19 when this happened. The actress tied the knot with 32-year-old LA bar owner Jeremy Thomas after knowing each other for just six weeks.. Drew filed for divorce 29 days later.
Drew Barrymore-Tom Green (163 Days)
Oh wait, this one lasted a little longer – Barrymore and comedian Tom Green tied the knot in July 2001. Their divorce papers were filed by Christmas the same year. The funny part is the couple was engaged for a longer period of time than which they were married.
Dennis Rodman-Carmen Electra (9 Days)
A 7am Vegas wedding? Hello! has to be another after-effect of a wild Vegas night. The seven-time NBA rebounding champion, who helped the Chicago Bulls win five titles, Dennis Rodman, made heads turn when he got married to Baywatch star Carmen Electra. The couple said their love was legit — until nine days later, when they filed for an annulment. The marriage officially ended six months later. Electra told People, “It’s easy to get caught up in a moment. You think it’s romantic, but then you realise, ‘God, we did it in Vegas?’ It’s like getting a cheeseburger at a fast-food restaurant.”
