Jimmy Page Breaks Silence on Led Zeppelin’s Plagiarism Trial

US band Spirit had accused Led Zeppelin of plagiarising the opening chords of ‘Stairway to Heaven’.

Legendary guitarist Jimmy Page finally broke his silence on Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ plagiarism trial and thanked fans for supporting the band. The 72-year-old co-founder of the English rock band took to Facebook to issue the statement.

I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank all those who contributed such a positive energy to me.
Jimmy Page wrote on Facebook

Although Led Zeppelin came out as the winner in the copyright infringement lawsuit against Spirit, the case is apparently not over yet.

Michael Skidmore, who represents the estate of late Spirit guitarist Randy California, filed an appeal on 23 July.
