Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s much awaited 2.0 teaser finally dropped on 13 September at 9 am. This S Shankar directed VFX extravaganza was scheduled to release on Diwali last year, but had to be postponed owing to the heavy use of visual effects and animation in the film.
The international showbiz magazine Variety has revealed that the budget of 2.0 is about 75 million dollars, that’s approximately Rs 500 crore. Following this, the film’s director Shankar tweeted that over 3000 technicians from around the world were involved in making 2.0.

Besides Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, 2.0 will be released in 12 languages across the world. The streaming rights of this VFX wonder has been reportedly picked up by Amazon Prime Video. Watch this space for the much awaited 2.0 trailer.
