Kajal Aggarwal has confirmed that she has signed a film with Kamal Haasan and this could well be filmmaker Shankar’s next big project Indian 2. At the audio launch of her new Teugu film Kavacham, Kajal revealed that she has signed up for a film opposite Haasan. Kavacham features Kajal opposite Telugu star Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.
"I'm doing one more film with Sai. I also have a film with Kamal Haasan sir. I'm looking forward to both these projects," Kajal said at the audio launch.
Kamal Haasan has incidentally just finished a look test for Indian 2. Shankar, in an interview recently said that he got goosebumps seeing Kamal Haasan as Senathipathi, the old man from the original Indian, again.
"We recently had a makeup test for Kamal Haasan's role in Indian 2. All I can say is that he is on a roll. When we saw Kamal Haasan in the old man look, it gave me goosebumps. I was so excited and kept thinking how would the audience react after seeing one of their favourite characters on screen after 25 years. It was a great feeling."
Kajal Aggarwal too reportedly went through a look test for the film and Shankar is very happy with the results. Simbu, Dulquer Salmaan, Ajay Devgn and Nayanthara are also reportedly in talks to star in this sequel to Indian.
Indian 2 is expected to go on floors on 14 December in Hyderabad, where a huge set has been erected for the film. Lyca Productions, the company which produced Rajinikanth's 2.0, will be bankrolling this sequel as well.
