It’s confirmed! Tamil actor Silambarasan, aka Simbu, has been roped in to play the lead role in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's next film.

The filmmaker already has Jyothika, Fahadh Faasil, Aishwarya Rajesh and Nani on board. The project is being touted to be one of the biggest casting coups in Tamil cinema in recent times.
Ratnam’s last film, Kaatru Veliyidai, featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Karthi garnered mixed response from critics.
