Baahubali filmmaker SS Rajamouli reportedly has reached out to Karan Johar because he wants none other than Alia Bhatt to star as the female lead in his upcoming Teleugu film RRR, which features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles. Very little is known about the film which just went on floors in November. The makers have been extremely tight-lipped about the rest of cast and plot details.
There are has been a lot of speculation about the female lead in the film. Recently, Parineeti Chopra was rumoured to be in talks for the role. Now, it’s Alia Bhatt whose name has popped up.
According to a report in an entertainment website, Rajamouli has approached Karan Johar to entice Alia for the role, since Karan is a mentor-like figure to Alia and has also distributed the Baahubali series in North India. The website added that Karan will act as a co-producer for RRR.
Additionally, Kaira Advani is also being zeroed in for another role in the film. RRR is one of the most awaited mega-budgeted upcoming releases from the Telugu film industry, apart from Baahubali star Prabhas’ Saaho which comes out this year.
