Akshay Kumar seems to be ticking off a personal list of sorts. After working with Rajinikanth in 2.0, the actor is reportedly set to share the screen with Kamal Haasan in Shankar’s Indian 2.

According to Filmfare, here too, the Bollywood khiladi would don the garb of the bad guy.

Haasan had bagged the National Award in Best Actor category for Indian in 1996, which starred him in a double role along with Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar.

Shankar had earlier reportedly approached Ajay Devgn for a special role in the film, but that did not work out. Meanwhile, Shankar is keen to have Akshay in Indian 2.

Indian 2 is to go on floors soon in Hyderabad, where a huge set has been erected for the film. Lyca Productions, the company which produced Rajinikanth's 2.0, will be bankrolling this sequel as well.

Kajal Aggarwal, who teams up with actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan for the first time in the Tamil film, says signing the project has been a step up in her over a decade-long career.
