House of Cards is dark. And delicious.

And Indians are OD’ing on it big time.

A new survey says India is the third largest country to download  Season 3 of the show on torrentz.

Piracy tracking firm Excipio released a list of 10 countries where House of Cards was pirated the most.  And India came third, right after China and United States.

Netflix, the network that broadcasts the show isn’t available in China or India. Maybe that’s the reason why the two countries are such conspicuous downloaders of the show.

So, if you haven’t seen the show yet, you must, for the sake of social pow wow – if nothing more.

Frank Underwood is now President. In the last two seasons, he and his wife were loved (and hated) as a scheming, manipulative and power hungry couple.

For now, at least in the first six episodes of Season 3, Frank Underwood is on the back foot. He is seen losing the game; and his wife, even. Vox has given it mixed reviews:

House of Cards Season 3 is the show’s best — and worst — season so far: VOX.com

The Atlantic calls Season 3 pretty good, starting from the third episode. “ It never reaches the dark, dramatic heights of previous seasons, but it’s also a little more focused and intelligent than they were.”

House of Cards is a show enjoyed for its dramatic, and wildly ambitious characters. And clearly, Indians are loving them too.
